HR-Training Officer joins EntrepEskwela

ABS – CBN Bayan Foundation, Inc. takes a new path to becoming a “social entrepreneur” that continuously develops social innovation through entrepreneurial solutions. It has developed the EntrepEskwela or the Grassroots Entrepeurship Entrepreneruship and Management (GEM) program, which targets the client systems of microfinance institutions, primarily the women with livelihood and microenterprises undertakings.
EntrepEskwela is in collaboration with their media principal and partner MFIs notably the CCT. They have mobilized experts in training small and medium scale entrepreneurs to create new and exciting modules for micro entrepreneurs. These training courses are very relevant and responsible to the learning preferences of the masses. The formula is to use Filipino (and other dialects) as the language of instruction, make the materials highly audio-visual, and entertaining, and increase the interactivity level of the learning experience. The objective of the program is to promote, develop and help grow livelihood and microenterprises to increase sales, assets, profits and net worth of clients.
USPD was invited to participate in this training entitled “4th GEM Traninor’s Training”, scheduled from February 17 – 29, 2008 in Capitol University, Cagayan de Oro City and on March 24 -April 4, 2008 in Ateneo de Davao University, Davao City.
Thus, USPD HR Training Officer, Mrs. Shella S. Malangis was sent to this activity. A total of P25, 000. 00 was paid for the registration fee for the 20- day training exclusive of incidental costs such as food, transportation and accommodation.
